African Drumming and Dance with Anne Lowe and Denise Schott.
Anne Lowe gave a brief history of African drumming, which originated in West Africa. Drumming has been used for communication, rituals, celebrations, storytelling and dance. Following the guidance of Anne, everyone was encouraged to participate in playing the drums and rhythm instruments which she provided. Denise Schott demonstrated the steps for an African storytelling dance in which everyone participated.
