OMAS SISKONA of KW

Picture

We shall turn the tide

On May 9, 2010, at the historic first African Grandmothers Gathering in Manzini, Swaziland, 42 Canadian delegates representing over 5000 Canadian grandmothers/others sang these words to their African sisters at the closing ceremonies. OMAS SISKONA (= Grandmothers together) sing this song to close every meeting.

WE SHALL TURN THE TIDE

We shall turn the tide
We shall turn the tide
We shall turn the tide with you
For deep in our hearts
We do believe
That we shall turn the tide with you

********
We'll walk hand in hand
We'll walk hand in hand
We'll walk hand in hand with you
For deep in our hearts
We do believe
That we shall turn the tide with you

Tune: We shall overcome
Sung at each OMAS SISKONA of KW meeting
